Downtown!

I went downtown today. I intended to take more river pictures for my sister, but that didn't really happen. The river is a horrible thing, and I hate it very very much.

About the birds...apparently they congregate at this point along upper wacker drive because they are waiting for the "old man" who feeds them. And whence he comes, they flock to him and on him while he feeds them. Then when he leaves, the birds follow him. This is the story I recieved from a mildly drunk man that I awoke while taking the pictures. I believe him. I do.

Oh, and this is that last picture of the corn cob building I'll post. Maybe. I just like the shapes.

THINK

Just out and about close to home.

This place initially grabbed my attention because of the lighting as I walked by. I only saw the "Think" sign in photoshop, which is my new favorite part of the scene.

I liked the name of the stand..."The Fantastic". I'm pretty sure they fight evil after a long day of preparing fruity things.

Scenics

Here are some recent landscapes. The powerlines and egret(or whatever that bird is) are from a resevoir across the street from where I work. The hayfield was taken somewhere on the route from Chicago to Galena, IL.

Vanity!

It's my self portrait. Hey, I just give the people what they want. Because the people just want me trapped in a droplet of water. I hate the people.

Chicago River

I was asked for the Chicago River themed pictures by my sister. It's harder than you think. I found myself wanting to get so much into one photo, that most of them just came out cluttered looking. I've got to attempt a sparser tact. The ones posted here came out ok, but I don't want it to be my final interpretation of the river. It's funny, I'm just noticing that two don't really have the river in them at all. But those buildings are on the river, so it still counts. Because I say so. More later.

Laundry Day

I could prolong it no longer. The laundry had to be done. Rejoice ye who hath your own laundry apparatus, for thine quarters stay within tight grasp. I will exchange pictures for a washer and dryer, if anyone is interested.

Montrose Harbor, Chicago
These are from a couple of weeks ago. I spent the day at the lake as I am prone to do. Here's proof.

Little Saigon, Chicago
Today I walked over to Little Saigon. It wasn't as interesting to me on the outside as I was hoping. The part I most enjoyed was in one of the food markets. Here are a few photos I took inside.
